I always use 1 music player at a time. And replace as soon as it broke down. Right now it's a pretty orange iPod nano 5g.
Recently bought the iPod nano 2g for my sister. And when listening to it I was shocked how big a difference it was and different my headphones was when combining the two.
The volume of the 2g is much louder. Like 30%louder.
The sound was also different.. The 5g sounds cleaner more detailed, while the 2g sounds warmer but less detail and bit muffled.

Why is there a difference? Which is better?
Anyway hate to say this but makes me itchy to give the Sansa a try.

Nano 2g uses Wolfson sound chip.

Nano 5g uses cirrus logic audio chip

Ive heard that sansa are good too.

I have 2 nano 4gs. and 3 1st gen ipod shuffles.

I always go for the shuffle and like the sound-i think that has a sigma sound chip.
