alright before you start i'm no way a beats fan, i have sennheisers and i love them.
so i was just wondering, is there ANY difference between the solo hd and solo? other than the word HD and the few extra dozen dollars in its price tag?

had listened to the solo HD, sounded terrible.
haven't listened to the regular solo's though

i haven't bumped into any answers to that here so i would just like to ask out of curiosity,

They supposedly made them sound better but if the HD version is truly better than the regular one then I'd hate to hear what that sounded like!
 
Oh also the regular version has a matte finish and the HD one is gloss.

lol so im guessing that there is virtually no sonic difference? 
well actually that doesn't sound surprising well imo the matte finish looks better than the gloss finish, the gloss look cheaper,the matte a tad more appealing
i wonder if anyone here has dona a A/B comparision on the 2 of them before 

oh also one interesting i discovered at the shop! if you press the shiny silver microphone button and hold it changes the sound signature to be more full bodied and generally a little better. no idea why and how it happens

One other difference is Monster reinforced the headband on the HD Solo as that was a common point of failure. I don't know if there are any sonic differences.

hmm thats interesting, i thought reinforcing was applied to both the regular solo and the solo hd in its revision.
lol hd remake with a slightly stronger headband...
