Difference between E4c box and plastic (like e2c/e3c red package) packaging?

just wanted to know what's the difference between the e4c box type package and the e4c hard plastic (similar to e3c/e2c red packaging)...which one does shure uses lately? thanks all...

My e4's came in the red ipod-esque box youre talking about, but the e4's (grey) come in the same type thing as the e2c. My e4c was the from the first shipment, though, so I don't know if they've changed back to the regular packing

pre-edit: oh, looking on amazon, I see an e4c in the regular plastic packaging, not the red box. so, I don't know. I'd say expect the plastic packaging.

All the E4cs I've seen have been in the little red-and-white box.
My E4s came in the plastic giant-blister-pack, with either a charcoal or very purple-grey insert.

The little box is a much neater solution, but very... iPod-y.
