I doubt those are "made" by AKG in an AKG factory with AKG assembly workers in Austria.

Most likely made in asia by an OEM who just prints the name on it, per specs dictated by AKG.

Yes. They don't seem real. And the cable thing is just odd & useless unless the headphones were plug & cable modded.
