I just got my Hd 414 pads today and decided to do the reverse mod. But I hear no difference in the sound of my SR-60's. Here are some attatched pics, have I done it correctly?

Were your comfies modded?
I found with pads, the better the headphones, the more noticable the difference
But you should notice some difference if your old pads didn't have the quarter mod done on them

No, my old comfies were not modded in any way. Maybe the improvement is not just as big as I expected.

Yes you did it all right, i can't understand why you don't notice a difference though as i can't put my MS-1 on my head with the moded 414 pad without getting a headache from the new shrillness of the sound, and since SR-60 are suppose to deliver shrill highs from the begining this must be a true killing

. Try them some more maybe, put them on like that for a while like listen to a whole album with them then switch to the Comfies, maybe you'll then notice a difference.

On MS-1 this mod would have been wonderful. But I trust SR60 would benefit more from unmodded HD414.

Yup! That's just what they look like on my MS-1s!

We all seem to have different ears and systems though. My ears are just the right size for pads like that to be extremly comfortable and work just right, so that to me anyway, they sound and feel great!
