I'm waiting to see if this ends up being given to me via an easy call for Xmas gifting - which it would be.

I got mine and it is this one with the bonus disc.

Nothing too special as far as the extras are concerned, a few deleted scenes that are ok and some boring comentary but the transfer of the film with respect to video and audio quality is one of the best I have ever sene/heard.

I was going to wait for the prequel trilogy to be released as a boxset but figured that might not be until next year sometime. Besides that, I already bought the original trilogy (not this weird 2nd release they just had) so I'm SOL on the six disc set that will be out eventually too, not to mention I don't really like EpI-II anyway.

I got it from Circuit City yesterday for $15. Haven't looked at the special features disc (I rarely do.) The video quality is great, I honestly was a little disappointed with the 2ch audio (don't have multi.) For example, the opening symphonic score sounded kind of soft and flat to me. During the movie, I was way too preoccupied with the film itself to ponder the SQ so it's not like it's bad or anything like that..

BTW, I think vol2 of the Clone Wars is due out soon too.

I picked it up Tuesday, but haven't watched it yet. I saw it in the theatre and was very disappointed with the quality. The picture was poor(it looked like
hair on the film),and the surround sound sucked!I can't wait to watch it tonight on my 65" Mitsubishi in 7.1,with lots of popcorn!

I got 2 disc widescreen version of SW 3 at Best Buy last night $14.99

Also got carried away and got 4 disc SW 4,5,6 set which was on sale and even cheaper with reward zone coupon.

Will now take time to watch 3,4,5,6 in sequence......recent upgrades to home theater allow 1080i upconversion with HDMI connection.

Same here and is sitting on top of the video monitor until I can get the whole family together at one time (looks like tonight has a shot).
I use every sneaky method I can to get all of us in one room and sharing the same space for more than five minutes and firing up the "big rig" to play a new video release has always worked well.Hopefully the little bast*rds never catch on to my deception

My suggested Star Wars viewing sequence would be IV-I-II-V-III-VI. Watching the Saga in this order allows for the preservation of the plot twists on both sides of the timeline (Vader = Anakin in ESB, Palpatine = Sidious in ROTS).

I'm waiting for a box set of all 6. Also, I'm not going to watch ep III untill I can watch it with all the rest. My freinds and I just need to find a free weekend.

Also need to do a LOTR marathon... I've got some full rainy days ahead of me.

Me too! The extended directors cut of each... that should make for a long day

Watched the deleted scenes last night. I like them all. One in particular should have been included (after some re-work) as it hints at the beginnings of the Rebel Alliance which isn't really ever explained otherwise.

Thanks for posting that link. I never would have found out otherwise. I went to Walmart to get the same exact set just to get that cool bonus disc.

Need to get home, find time, and then watch it.
