I recently discovered DFX 8 while searching for a way to get my music to sound better. As soon as I got it and started to fiddle with the settings it had a huge effect on my music, moreso than if I were to buy expensive headphones

I was just wondering if there are any other similar software to this?

When used competently and in moderation, Izotope's OzoneMP plugin can do a good job of making music more euphonic/enjoyable to listen to. No raping involved.

It's $29 but it's well worth it IMO.

you aren't enhancing it, thats the simple truth, you're given the signal from whatever source, and thats all you get, period, everything you do from that point on simply degrades it, doesn't matter what you do, it degrades it

the goal is to minimize this degredation as much as possible

I see what you mean. This programme is more subtle in the changes it makes to the music, but I think that it improves the quality to a greater extent.

I tried going back to the DFX, but it sounds too fake and plasticy, thank you.

All I have to do now is learn how to use it.
