I'm looking for an all-in-one solution for listening to music while at work.
Basically, I want to be able to hook up my 3TB hard drive full of music to a device and listen to the music via headphones.
I don't want to have to use a computer for anything because I don't want the company's electronic spies catching me listening to rebellious industrial music when I'm supposed to be a good corporate drone.
The Cambridge Audio Minx Xi kind of seems like it will do what I want:

But, at $899, it's rather more than I would like to spend.
Also, the four line display doesn't seem like it would be that great for navigating through my music collection.
Are there any similar devices available for under $500? Preferably with a better screen?
