Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony

Classical

Concert Description

Composed in 1822, this symphony languished unperformed for over forty years, never finished, heard only in Schubert’s fervent imagination. Leonard Slatkin conducts Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony, its two movements no less captivating for their brevity. The DSO also performs Rachmaninoff’s ravishing Symphony No. 3, and composer and DJ Mason Bates joins the orchestra for the his electronica/orchestral fusion, The B-Sides, with its last movement an homage to Detroit, the birthplace of techno.

I would love to hear your feedback on this!

Cheers,

Eric
