Anyways, does anyone have any portable headphone amps locally (like iBasso, Pico, RSA, etc.)?  Would anyone mind me checking one out I'm in the Canton area.  Thanks.  I want to purchase one but I'm wanting to see if one's worth it at this point for me and my portable setup.

I apologize for leaving my comment somewhat out of context. I forgot that Kibble Fat already offered his parents' place.

I should be able to make it either way, though it does sound like Jude would be out.

No issues here, its whatever you guys want to do.  Either the 21st at my parents' house or early Feb. at Jude's office.  I'm working on finding a suitable Dearborn location through another Audiophile club.  
 
What do you guys think?  If Jude has the HE-400 and LCD-3, I say we allow him to recuperate

I have't been able to check the place in Canton and i am still planning on doing it for eother date. My vote is to wait for Jude. it is always fun to have him around in our meets and I would like to try his LCD-3 with my Dark Star

The 4th was my second vote originally, but I'm all about it now. I am in Minneapolis this week, and next weekend I'll be in Lansing. Meeting in February will give me two weeks to get caught up on things at home.

I was hoping that Jude might still have his pre-production sample.  Not likely, but I can hope, right?
 
Although from the descriptions of its sound, it won't fancy me too much...

Ok... didn't take that into consideration. Actually IMO (cant speak for Jude) but such pre-production samples would probably be handled out obviously by a case-by-case basis and would be given out after CES (which is going on as we chat). It be definite it would be in the next few weeks samples should start appearing.

Actually, several Head-Fi'ers including Jude have reported on the pre-production samples they have had for some time over in the HD 700 unveiling thread.

Depending on the date and location (I prefer A2), I would love to go as well. I'm deciding on my next purchase, whether it be a D7000 or LCD-2, so it works out if I can actually audition something for once. All the gear I've bought up till now has been purchased blindly/deafly.

I did not see them, until Jude's new CES video which ive seen.
