Hey all,
I am going to be building a new PC in the next month or so. I plan on using it mostly for gaming, and I am going to be getting the AKG K702 65th Anniversary (recommended by MadLust on this forum).
I will obviously need something a little beefier to drive these headphones so I'm wondering what the general consensus is about desktop amps/dac vs sound cards. My goal here is to invest up front in a good audio solution that I can transfer to new builds, down the road.
Currently, I'm considering the Xonar Phoebus from Asus or the Zx from Creative for PCIe based options. I honestly have no clue where to start for desktop amps.
Help, please!
Thanks, and cheers!
