I have a Burson Soloist SL MKII. Great amp that I use with AK100 II and EL-8 while at work. However, occasionally I find myself wishing I had a portable amp. Original plan was to buy a desktop amp for work, then pick up a Mojo later for running.

How much will the sound suffer if I downgrade from a desktop amp to a Chord Mojo? Does it have enough power to get the most out of EL-8 (and future upgrade to Ether-C or LCD-XC)?

Thanks.

The only thing I can do differently for the EL-8 is to plug into a tube amplifier, for that tube-distortion sound that I do like. Straight from Mojo, EL-8 is quite excellent!
