To whoever may care (all one or two of you who are out there lurking), drummer Derek Roddy has opted out of Ron Jarzombek's whacked out metal experiment, Blotted Science, due to lack of time.. and has already been replaced by Charlie Zeleny from Behold... the Arctopus. This is great news for me, since I think that the Arctopus is the greatest thing to happen to absurdly technical avantmetal in many, many years.
The release of their debut album Machinations of Dementia is getting ever closer, and considering the musical histories of the members involved, this should turn out to be a seriously mind-bending trip through instrumental absurdity.
Can't wait.. hopefully this lineup sticks around for a while.
