Hello everybody,

I am in a middle of a 'dilemma' here. I'm in the middle of setting up a small cd audio station in my office to be used only with headphones.

Here the details:

Denon F-102 cd player (the small 1)
Little Dot MK IV factory setup
Grado SR-80i

Now, reading this enlighting forum gave me lot af answers but also left me with plenty of doubts. Too much information! Anyway many people here put the accent on the quality of the dac converter as a 'vital' key element. I have checked what's in the soul of this small denon (Burr Brown PCM1796) and was wondering what's the expert view on this. The heart of the matter is: with the above mentioned setup, does this cd player need an external dac?
