Ouch! I got up from my comfortable recliner after listening to my beloved DCP 100 and tripped over the power cord! It yanked out of the socket on the player and ripped out the plug, breaking off something in the socket. Broke whatever that thing in the players outlet is called. The end of it is stuck in my plug of the power cord. If I shove it in it's ok, the player works. But, I'm heartbroken that my player is damaged goods. Can it be fixed??? Can the power outlet in the player be replaced? Anybody know?

They still service these 14 year old units! I'm thinking it would cost more than I paid for it to fix. Maybe I a DIY'r at head-fi might step up to th challenge? For the right price, of course.

If it work perfectly when you shove it in then it shoudn't cost you more than a couple of box to buy some new piece. I have the service manual with all the part number if you want. The DC jack part number is 2048344001 the part cost $1.90

Here a list of Denon Autorized parts dealer

PM me if you want a scan of the service manual.
