BTW, if the output from the DAC is too loud, it's not the 370's fault. All the digital out does is stream the music from the CD, you can't have a loud or quiet digital connection, it's just +/- 32767 and is an exact duplicate of the data stored on the CD. I do however agree that the headphone jack on the 370 is way too loud, they must think we all have AKG 1000's or something.

Rotareneg, you're probably right. I remember reading something about how the Gamma actually boosts the volume. That could be what's going on.
