Denon D5000 to D7000 for sibilance correction or EQ

I listen to mostly rock and jazz. I agree that sibilance is more noticeable when tracks are excessively compressed. All "greatest hits" albums I've run across have awful compression.

I had the HD595's for a while- the sibilant king IMO. I had the D5000's before my D7000's, and while are both excellent, there is some mild sibilance to my ears. My 325is have less or no sibilance in comparison but do not have the overall impact and fun factor the D7000 have (but close!). It's all flavors of sound and getting the best source to back to back up the sound you prefer (headphones or speakers) is what it boils down to- whether that be bass/ mids/treble/u-shaped oriented sound, etc.
