80 db is sufficient for everything if you have good hearing

Yes, indeed. I agree Senns sounds better loud but that's really bad for you're hearing if done for more than a bit.

i have both and the HD600's as well.

i would choose the HD650's (HD600 if it is an option) as it is more balanced and more natural sounding thus you can wear for an extended period of time.

The stock D5000 is too bass-heavy (& sloppy) and there may be a little bit of resonance if you ask me and I am a little bit of a bass-head! It is way way too much with bass-heavy music such as R&B and rap. I grow tired of listening to the D5000 after 30 minutes or so.

I have yet to try a mark'l modded D5000 but I am interested to hear if there is indeed a noticeable improvement like many on here say.
