I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of D2000s, was waiting for a good price. I plan on using then with a Xonar DG/DX sound card for dolby headphone. Does dolby headphone compromise sound quality? Cuz I'm going to be using them a lot for movies, and I like surround sound. Also how good is the DG compared to the DX is it worth 50 bucks more?

Heya,

Denons with dolby headphone are awesome for movies & games. I have a pair with a Xonar DG. It's fantastic.

I wouldn't get more than the DG unless you just need PCIe or something based on the rest of your layout in your system.

Very best,

hey, I was trying to search info on the Xonar dg and cannot find very much info. I have the Xonar dg and my D2000 is arriving tomorrow. My question is will the Xonar be enough for music paired with the denon? I listen to a lot of kpop, jpop, r& b, some dance dubstep, and some of everything else.

Was debating whether or not one of those fiio is worth it.
