Denon D2000 as a portable option?

Never tried them on the go myself...It probably wouldn't work well because of lack of clamping force. Any sudden head movement would cause them to move.

No headbangin' with these.

How about isolation? I've been really interested in getting some D1000s but read they don't isolate well so I'm thinking of stepping up to these provided the price is right.

For D2000 being closed cans, they don't isolate that well (here I can compare them to Darths with leather pads - almost silent to outside world).

Funny though, as I hear it, they let more of the ambient sounds leak inside than let sound leaking out.
I just assume here that D1000 would behave pretty much the same.

Maybe off topic, I think it is possibly unsafe to wear well isolating phones in the city.
