looking to use d2000 with my i-pod. Would an amp be useful or just something else to carry around?. Has anyone got any experience of the denons in a portable set-up?

Well I can tell you that I just got my Corda 2MOVE in today and the Denons sounded pretty lifeless with the amp

. They actually sounded better right out of the iPod versus going through the amp. The Denon's sound AMAZING with a good home amp though, no portable can touch what a stationary amp will do for these phones.

did you use a lod cable??
