I wouldn't pay $200 for them but $99 is a good price for them and I you like bass oriented sound they are worth that price.

I paid $120 about a year back and have been very happy with them, actually listening to them right now

Yes Electronics Expo has the AH-D1100's for $90 + Shipping.  I just received mine 2 days ago.  What a great deal. They seem a little fragile, but I will mostly use them at home.  They have burned for 1 night, and they sound fantastic.  I wouldn't pay $200 for them, but definitely worth $100 bucks. Super comfortable!

Would these be an upgrade from the m50s, I do like bass and still looking for car bass type headphones.

They have much moar hard-hitting bass than the M50s and a bigger, cavern-like soundstage. Would I call them an upgrade sonically over the M50? No. More like a side-grade with a different flavor. However if you find the M50's bass lacking you may love the D1100s. They are very comfortable too.
