From spike33's descriptions of the D1000 sound, it seems to be very similar to the D2000. I believe someone else has both the D1000 and the D5000, and said that they are fairly similar as well (and we all know that the D5000 and D2000 sound similar).

I just got my D2000 today, so far I have not been able to listen much at all. From my extremely short comparison of the two (one song only) I did find that D2000 handled (female) voices better than D1000.

There is something about the midrange presentation that I don't like with the D1000, so far I have not noticed this with the D2000.

Hi all, I'm very interested in the D1000 for school/work, but I'm a little concerned about their size. In particular, I'd like to know ahead of time whether or not my ears will fit inside the pads (I think my ears are medium-sized, so I'm hoping all will be good). Anyway, can one of the D1000 owners measure the inside dimensions of the pads (both vertically and horizontally)? I'd really appreciate it and thanks in advance!
