Whats the difference between these two headphones other than the different cord lengths and included accessories?

In terms of sound quality how do they compare?

The 710 is the replacement model for the 700, its the 751 that's got the shorter cord length and extra bits with it.
As for how they sound, i'm not sure, but if they're much better than the 700/751's then they'se worth a look

the 710's have the shorter cable and the case, I was looking at them in the store the other day, the only noticable difference is the shape of the actual headphones. the 710's are 50 usd cheaper than the c700's, thats why I was wondering what the difference is in sound quality.

be aware the C700 and C751 are the same thing sound wise

Yes, that's what I was getting at, just didn't mention it

Judging from the pricing, and the fact the 710's are fairly recent and the 700's have been out a while, the 710's are certainly the replacement for the 700/751. The 751 comes with a small case and a very short cable + extension lead for ipod shuffle users, and the 700 are the same headphone but with a longish cable and no case.

ya from my research I have discovered that the 700's and 751's are the exact same headphones with different accessories, and cable lengths. I also know that the 710's are the most recent model, they include the same shorter cable with extension that the 751's have as well as a leather carrying case.

What I'm still unsure of is the difference in sound quality between the 700/751's and the 710's. From what I have gathered from reading other peoples posts here is that the 710`s are a bit brighter than the 700 and 751`s. The part that doesn't make sense to me is the fact that the 710`s are 50 USD cheaper than the 700`s, wouldn't it normally be the other way around if the 710`s are replacing the 700`s

Basically what i`m looking for is someone who owns or has owned both a pair of 700/751's and a pair of 710`s to do a direct comparison between the sound signature of both headphones.

There are comparisons already. Check the C710 review thread and the C700 thread.

.

Just for reference, I've seen 751's priced at 79.99GBP on ieadphones, and 170GBP in store, I think it depends on stock, and where you're buying them form. I also saw Sennheiser CX 500's (genuine) for £22.99 and 400's for about £40 on the same site.
