Ok so I have pretty much narrowed it down to these three for my first IEM purchase. This forum has consistently RAVED about the Re0's, but something about how cheap and fragile they look scares me. The C751's are on sale for $75 shipped on amazon, but the C551's are the cheapest (about $20 less than 751's). Please keep in mind I'm on a student budget and all of these are sort of a stretchf, but I have always been one to buy one solid piece of equipment instead of wasting my time/money trying to save a few pennies. I know both Denons have a great build, and will last for a while. Have any of you tried both the C751's and Re0's? How do they stack up?

C751

the RE0 spank them in clarity but..............unless you compare them side by side youd never notice. assuming your coming from stock buds the 751 will blow them away and give you a bass response that id expect you would be far happier with

the 751 have good clarity, great build quality and pretty great bass on them.

Have you had any experience with C551's? I have a feeling that I will be very happy with the C751 but it seems like I will also be very content with the C551. Can any of you guys recommend IEMs with similar performance for a cheaper price?

C751 v RE0 = bass v. detail. C751 has excellent bass with mediocre detail. RE0 has gentle bass with superb detail.

I auditioned the c751 for two hours. I ended up buying the RE0 instead, and I can tell you, I do not think the c751 are worth the money.

However, if you want more bass, I would go for the c751. If you want bass details, deep bass and details in general, go for the RE0.

Deep bass? Bass details? RE0?

Every ear is different, but I didn't hear that at all, ever, with those phones. It's how they got sold.
