Allright! I finally took apart my IRIS and did the firmware update via mac os and all I can say is.....

HOLY SCHIT!!!

It came ALIVE! More separation, more sparkle in the top end, more texture and detail in the low end, blacker background, better dynamics, stage opened up even more. What a great update!! I am thoroughly impressed.

Alvin, this firmware update has been pure gold. Can’t believe how much it has improved the Pontus and it seems the Iris. Happy Holidays and New Years! Jeremy nailed the improvements.

For Hermes there is a setup button and no need to take any cover off.

Expect regular firmware and drivers to improve Denafrips devices with direct customer support here.

I am not very much into burnin time esp. for solid state devices, but what a surprise a few days ago. After about 300+ hrs of actual poweron usage, my Pontus II just opened up. The soundstage and the bass just bloom. Couldn’t be happier.
