Help us decide which headphones need the Dekoni treatment. There are a lot of headphones always being released and that means sometimes we miss stuff. If you feel like there is a headphone in need of an upgrade let us know here and help shape the future of premium earpad offerings!

I think many would be interested in a Dekoni set of pads for the Yamaha YH-5000SE. The headphones already come with two great sets of pads, but considering just how much the ear-pads can alter the tuning, I believe I wouldn't be the only one wanting to see Dekoni's spin on these ;)

I'd like pads with Alcantara cloth or the micro velour from the Beyerdynamic T90 which is so plush and comfortable. Also the Hyper Cloud Orbit used Audeze 100mm drivers and the pads have great noise cancelling and form fitting foam, love wearing those.
That type of materials would be terrific. Micro suede makes bass boomy, but micro velour has the comfort and neutral sound. The hardest to find are good ones for the Sennheiser HD700 which are $90, the HD800S are $80, and Focal aftermarket always a bust for sound quality. The new gen of Beyerdynamic like the DT700/900 would be nice.

The entire STAX SR-Lambda series and modern variants (L700/500/300).
That's gotta be a pretty decent market segment.

One thing that I think would require a significant amount of research but could prove to be absolutely market breaking would be a magnetic ring that could be attached to Audeze headphones to allow for easy pad swapping.

It would require a fair bit of testing as Audezes tend to rely on the seal created by the adhesives to generate such sublime bass but if that could be replicated using a magnetic ring, it would be absolutely game changing. It would be a must own for any LCD owner

I like the Engagement with the community here.
Personally I don't really "need" new pads on anything, but some headphones like the Meze Empyrean/Elite or Modhouse Tungsten have amazing pad swap mechanisms to encourage pad rolling.

However for the same reason these also have a rather big Sortiment of pads already.
Due to the price of 200€/per I could see a market if Dekoni versions were only 100€/pair.

HEDDPHONE Two has also a great pad swap mechanism and the current pads are designed to Sound the sane. A different flavor could be appreciated.

Now that I rambled long enough I have one strong wish

Spirit Torino Pulsar/Valkyria Pads. Something Hybrid or leather that eliminates the strong subbass rolloff.
(Given that you also developed the original pads used, you'd be the perfect fit for someone developing new pads here)

Two recommendations:
  1. Final Audio D8000/Pro - I want an earpad that brings the midrange/vocals just a touch more forward and maybe boosts the upper midrange around 2 to 3khz just a touch. I do not want lower midrange boosted as this would cause congestion.
  2. Focal Utopia OG - very specific goal in mind. If you have access to the stock version, compress the earpads against your head by holding the outter edge of the cups. This creates a larger, more bold sound. Recreate that affect using earpad materials /design that differ from the original earpads.

Any Meze's magnetic earpads. This is the easiest and most convenient way to swap pads, which I believe makes for a better pad rolling experience.

Personally, I'm also interested how would a Choice Suede material work with Focal closed-back headphones.

I like to see a pad edition for the Final Audio D-8000 series. Be kind of interesting to have an all leather pad option. 😊

A custom utopia pad, similar to the custom stellia pads with the mesh inner, but perforated leather, for use with the clear/mg/elex/utopia
I second this. Focal sells their pads for crazy prices. Seems like a good idea.
