Hi
I have spent a week trying to find a match for my LCD2 vegan pads with no joy. The new style Audeze pads are bad and the Dekoni leather elite messed with the sound too much.
I am now trying out the synthetic leather and the fenestrated (holes in) versions. At the moment, they are defiantly closer, but they both reduce the soundstage (thicker padding) and something else. I noticed swapping between them that the original ones were a little cleaner/more detailed and a touch louder. This baffled me until I looked at the centre cloth/mesh on the dekoni and the original ones. The dekoni cloth is thicker and harder to see through if held against something bright. My guess is this is part of the issue.
Has anyone found this and a way to get around it? I would guess it would need to be removed and something else put in its place?
Thanks
