Deep RCA sockets?

What about drilling the wood slightly from inside with a flat bit that has larger diameter than the RCA nut? Something like I did with my PPA wooden panels (thickness about 9mm):

P.S.: The pictures are a bit outdated, but they were the best I had at hand

I'm sure someone else makes them also, but these would be my suggestion:

Karlosak,

Is there a front pic of your amp? I'm thinking of converting to a wood panel but not sure of how the neutrik jack would look. Maybe just a plain 6.35mm would look better for me.

Cheers

alternatly, maple looks really good with either stainless steel or brass, so you could cut out a small rectangle of the wood and mount a metallic plate in that hole, and then mount the jacks to that.

Thanks, I'm not really sure whether a neutrik jack against a slick wooden panel like maple or walnut (which I like) would look good. Maybe I'll try a small 6.35mm first than the neutrik jack if it doesn't work out. Any recommendations for a quality panel mount 6.35mm other than a neutrik ... anyone?

Cheers
