100+ Head-Fier
Hi,
I am looking for dedicated portable source unit that incorporates following functions:
- BT receiver, ideally with ldac and BT5
- transport of sound over USB, ideally via USB-C OTG cable
- screen and wide-band EQ
- no headphone out (no high quality dac/amp)
- it may function as player but it is not neccessary as I can play songs via phone and only receive it in this unit
I have stack of dac(mojo) and amp(vorzuge) already, and I am trying now to improve my source component that is currently managed by Shanling M0.
The shortcomings of M0 are:
- no or poor EQ. Wide EQ would be appreciated.
- no concurrent use of BT receiver and USB transport, this might be solved with future update
- it is not dedicated source component, but a DAP, and therefore as all DAPs it will concentrate much of its force and cost onto playback capabilities, while I really do not need them.
I guess in next 2-3 years these features might become common standard in modestly priced daps, so I might choose one with good enough EQ, but I still wonder if any company is playing with an idea of making such device that would not be marketed as DAP but purely source.
