Declick/Restoration Stand Alone?

Are there any stand-alone components that offer "DeClick" or "DeHiss?" I'm talking a component that is completely independent of a computer. One that you could hook up to your hi-fi to remove some vinyl clicks and tape hiss....?

The TASCAM CC-222 offers some primitive features along these lines.

In my experience, results are mixed with this sort of real-time hiss and pop removal.

I don't know of any really good standalone units. But if you have a good soundcard, you could play CDs through your computer and ...

Download Wavelab and Waves.com's Denoiser. You may be able to find a backup file of these programs on kazaa

Set Wavelab to auto-filter noise, clicks, hiss, hum, whatever's bothering you. And voila! you have a professional-grade noise-removal system at a fraction of the cost. (well, unless you buy the software.
