I have a decision to make. Either the HD280 pros or the HD555's for gaming and some music. I bought the 280 pros b4 and had problems with buzzing in them and now their returned and I got my money back im reconcidering which ones i should buy. I liked the 280 pros, but their treble and midtones were really exaggerated but i have not tried the HD555's yet. Any suggestions? Comments?

the 280's also need a good 200 hours of burn in to settle down. But once they do they are awsome

. The 555's do sound great and sound a bit better in most respects such as bass treble and to a lesser extent, mids, but they dont have the same bass reach that the 280's have. If you want the isolation then go ahead and give the 280's another chance, if not go with the 555's if you dont mind the extra 50 bucks.

both can be found for less than $100

555 beats 280 in musicality, comfort, soundstage, practically everything except isolation and 280 has a bit more bass extension
