Hey guys, 
 
I'm looking to buy my first pair of IEM's pretty soon.  I would like to avoid spending more than $200 on these.  I do not yet have a DAC, and I use my headphones only with my laptop and my phone right now.  Also, in general, is there a significant difference in sound quality between IEMs and high-end earphones in this price range?  I know that armature drivers have a rep for being better than dynamic drivers because of the improved linear motion of the diaphragm, but I have never actually heard the difference firsthand.  Any thoughts or recommendation are appreciated.

In your budget range, some dynamic driver IEMs are just as good as armature ones. So choose based on which people say sound better, not the technology.
