I don't know much about DACs so I'm not real sure where to start. I'd like a DAC that can improve the sound of the WDTV before it goes to my receiver. I'm sort of on a tight budget. Is there such a thing as an economical DAC that can still improve the sound of the WDTV? Would I be using a USB DAC?
Thanks!

I guess I'd be able to spend $200 if it could improve the sound in a way that is noticeable. How much improvement should I expect (I'm showing how little I know)?

I'm running the WDTV (lossless flac) to my HK AVR254.

I couldn't find any non usb DAC under 200$ except TC7510. I'm not familiar with your receivers but I'm pretty sure this DAC will convert to analog better.

Well, it's for a second home theater (this one in the bedroom) so I'm trying to keep costs down. Well, my wife is trying to keep costs down.
