Source = Ipod touch 8GB & Imac 
Amp = Pa2v2 (will upgrade in a few months when iv sorted out university financing for next year)
Phones = Sennheiser hd25-1 ii
 
wondering if theres a better quality cable for connecting these?
One mac to amp & one ipod to amp 
to ensure i get the highest quality from my equipment.

Cables should probably be the last thing you want to upgrade, unless you've got some real crap-quality cables.  I'd probably go for an external DAC, bypassing your iMac's line-out. 
 
What kind of cables are you using now?

would a DAC work well with the pa2v2?
& cable wise, only have the one that came with the amp
