I am looking for an amp that will give the 598's an increase in bass. I am not a basshead but I enjoy decent bass when listening to electronic/techno music. Is this even possible with these cans?

Chance are you not going to see much of any increase in bass with a new amplifier.
But matching the right headphone amplifier (& better DAC) to the HD598 might/should improve over all audio quality.
I'm guessing a Fiio E10 or E11 is what you would be looking at (portable?).
What are you currently plugging the HD598s into?
