RE0s have almost no isolation at all.....i would still support the um3x as it is made for performers and the cables have little if not, totally no microphonics and i feel that the cables are rather durable

Don't drummers often wear full size headphones in the studio while recording? There must be some that would stay on reasonably well.

I wonder what most metal/rock drummers use?

I've seen many bands where the drummer wasn't using any type of monitors at all.
