Just started listening to Necrony for the first time. This is really pretty good Carcass worship from 1993 or thereabouts. I saw their album on line for $74.99, so I assume it's pretty hard to find.

Man, this thread has totally died, so I'm going to bust out the heart paddles:

Devastation (Chicago)

If you haven't heard of Devastation, that's apparently because they broke up before breaking out of the nascent mid-80's death metal scene in Chicago. They had one LP in 1987, and that was it. A 3-CD compilation of their demos and that one LP was just put out in December, and it is ****ing amazing. Devastating, if you will. I can't believe these guys didn't become as well known as Death or Obituary. They're that good. Anyway, check 'em out...and go listen to Necrony, too!
