most likely, if you read most of the reviews, average users spending more money on these types of earphones are thinking they're going to get huge, bloated bass & they post negative reviews when they listen & hear lean, accurate bass.
I've owned the SF5v2's, and they sound pretty good, especially for $59. Very good soundstage.
