Also backordered. No matter, I bought the new Grado IEMs (the $89 ones) instead, coming out at the end of September, they say. Wanted to try some Grado IEMs, but not pay $300.
Seems to be what Sony typically does as they phase a product out. A new flagship coming? The EX700 is getting old and Denon, AT, Panasonic(most of their other Japanese competitors) have brought forth new models. Sony and Victor have gone quite long with the EX700 and FX500 as their top of the line.
Maybe an EX900 moves in at the $300 price point and the EX700 stays but at a lower price?
Oh well, now that the Klipsch S4s are sounding good and the Grados are coming, didn't need these too. But would have liked to hear them, and could always resell them on ebay.
