I'd really want to listen to the JVC set. Been really close to buying a pair a couple times.

Into the [some carrying device] they go! I just bought a Slappa case because carrying boxes around for a set of headphones isn't fun. Maybe I should order another one/three. Could also bring my ATH WS99s, currently fitted with loose (will rotate if you try to be the guy with the stretched out beanie) but functional Brainwavz pads, which make them super comfy.

I have the 400s btw, with Angled Leather HM5 pads. I don't wanna confuse it with the HE-400, which I know Hifiman has done a great job of confusing the public about. It's the newest headphones from Hifiman, with the silver round body and the new balanced cable. The $300 one.

Yes @gandhisfist, I am current working from Seattle, will be here for next three months. I will not able to make to this time, had never missed a meet in DC area past two years....Regret it a lot.
But I sold Krell amp, now I drive HE-6 with Devialet 120, liked it more than Krell so replace. I does an excellent job both with HE-6 and Kef LS50 speakers

Sounds like we aren't gonna see a lot of gear at this meet.
Bigterm and myself don't have a lot of gear. I'm excited to see the HE-1000's,THX00's, SR007a, HE-6's, and many more on this list. I may also give the HD650's another listen just because it's been so long, and when I initially listened to them it was loud and I did not get a good listen from them. The HE-1000's and THX00's are my primary targets, however

As my eloquent brother pointed out, I will be bringing the Emotiva Stealth DC-1 and Phillips Fidelio X2's. But what he forgot to mention is that I will also bring the Yulong A800 headphone amp as well, so you can add that to the list. Should be a great meet!
I'll bring Corda Rock, packed, in case there is any interest to hear it. However I will need to use power from another member.
I have plenty of RCA connections, but will not have enough power connections.

I'm new to Head-Fi and to these meets. I plan to attend the DC-area meet on February 27th. I gather that I can bring my own components (headphones, DACs, amps, etc.) to share. Can I also hope to buy, sell, or trade components there? If so, is there a preferred method for exchanging money. Although cash is probably always welcome is there a safe way to do checks or credit cards for more expensive items? Also I have some things I'd like to sell or trade. Is this thread an appropriate place to post them. I know there are places to sell components by on line, but this event seems to offer an opportunity to do things with face-to-face transactions which are, presumably, lower risk.
If I have posted this to the wrong place, please forgive (and then redirect) me.
