Is there any possibility that a gain increase above 0dB doesn't result in a massive quality loss?
I'm not talking about classic low gain and high gain as high gain seems to be 0db in most amps and low gain -xdb.
I'm talking about +xdb. There are many well regarded amps that have this which makes them able to driver harder headphone but personally i found the loss in soundquality massive here. Is that supposed to be?
