I am currently deciding whether to get Terminators V4 with BlackGold cable or pro 900. I really like the sound of my 770pro but I'd like to know if I can get something a bit better. Something with a bit more bass, better quality bass, more forward midrange and bigger soundstage if that is even possible. My source is Auzentech Prelude with Arietta.

I listen to electronic music and I love huge hard hitting bass. Genres I like are: Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Hardstyle, Hardcore, House, Techno, some older Trance, Goa/Psy and some hip hop here and there.

As for the price limit I'd say $703 is the maximum I'd like to spend because that is how much V4 with BlackGold cable would cost me. pro900 are much cheaper at $600 (EDIT: as low as $400 online apparently) and I'm sure they sound better than my stock 770pro.

I was very impressed with this review techPowerUp :: Ultrasone PRO900 Headphones Review :: Page 1 / 4

They sound like perfect headphones for me. But on the other hand I have also read some very positive V4 reviews on this forum.

So which one do you recommend?

You can suggest other headphones but please make sure they are closed.

Thanks.

I havent tried the V4 yet but I did try the Darth Beyer V3 which were really, really fun headphones

...It had the most bass I had ever heard yet it somehow was capable of containing itself so it never sounded bloated...or even congesting the sound quality imo...

And wasnt sure which headphones you were going after...The terminator V4 or V3 Darth Beyers? (Im assuming Terminator V4)

I couldnt comment on the pro900 since I never tried them...Sorry

I compared the PRO900 to the K702, and today I have the K702 and I'm very happy with this choice. The 900 are nice, but they have a boost on the bass, and not a nice one.

One should refrain from answering to acix at all times, he just makes noises. I can't help you hardstyler, because I have never heard darth beyers.

DT 770 Pros distort quite easilly makes me wonder how they come around that problem with the Darth Beyers?
