Hi, I just bought a pair of darths with xlr connectors and a custom cable job here..  http://www.head-fi.org/t/715918/darth-beyer-terminator-v4-balanced-final-price-drop.

I need a little help picking an amp. When i try to listen to the darths only one side works. I believe its because my speakers do not have enough power for the darths. (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/surround-sound-speaker-z506?crid=47)   I am also using a 1/8 mono male to 1/4 mono female connector I just bought from radio shack.  The speakers are connected to my pc via a creative xfi extreme gamer sound card.

I am looking at buying this cable ..     https://www.datavis.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?prrfnbr=722506

I just need an amp for it but I would like to spend under a 100 but I will spend over a hundred. can you guys give me a few choices all under 200.00 please?
Do i need a dac? I get decent sound from the xfi gamer card but if its not to much more to get a better dac then my sound card has I would do it. I dont know if my sound card has a dac i think it does.

I wont be carrying it around at all. I have 250 ohm dt990's that I plan on repairing and using too. I will use these mostly for pc games and music. I listen to bass heavy music and swing music, oldies, pretty much anything.

I am not an audiophile but I love good headphones  Thank you guys :)

Let me know if you need more info.

Consider replacing the Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer with the Sound Blaster Z sound card ($85).
The SB-Zs headphone amplifier can easily drive your XLR modified DT770 Pro 80-Ohm headphones.
Plus the SB-Z should provide better audio quality, over the XtremeGamer, for both headphones and your Logitech Z506 speakers, using the analog speaker connection (green/black/orange).

The Grado Prestige Mini adapter cable ($15) will allow you to use your headphone with a sound card with a 3.5mm headphone output jack.
