I've got a pair of Beyer DT770. Coming from Grado SR225s, I got all the bass I need, but for the price of decreased detail and recessed midrange. I've heard that Denon D2000 has almost the same amount of bass, but it's more complete in the other areas. But also, getting the DT770s darthed would level off the inconsistencies and increase the overall quality of sound (supposedly).
How does an average pair of Darth Beyers (open OR closed) compare to an average pair of D2000? Has anyone heard both?
