Beween headphones right now. Going to be shipping off my RS-1's soon and I need a new headphone. I've been doing a lot of gaming lately and a lot more casual listening. Ive always wanted to try out the dt770 since it seems like everyone has one. But, would the bass be too overwhelming with my ppx3 slam?

No I wouldn't think it would be too overwhelming. I had a PPX3 SLAM (sold now) and the Beyer dt990's. What I can tell you is that combination works well together. The speed and detail of the 5687 output tubes serves the cut through some of the thickness of the Beyer sound and they compliment each other.

i just received my first set of darths (closed) a few days ago. all the hype is deserved. they go beautifully with both the Heed CanAmp and the SLAM.
