I see on Audiophile China's website that the Darkvoice Figaro is available in 110V.

I've read other Darkvoice threads and it says that the Darkvoice is not available in 110V. Is this true? Has anyone picked up a Figaro in 110V from another seller?

Thanks in advance.

I would ask the seller if he/she has a 110 volt version available. I wouldn't trust what the description says because another ebayer/Head-fier had a problem with that seller trying to send him a 220 volt version with a step-up transformer even though the 336i SE's description indicated that it was available in a 110 volt version.

I tried to buy one from Hi fi casque on Ebay and sent paypaled them. Got an email that the 110 was not available. I was a little pissed about it and got it anyway. Thinking Audiophile China is still up to that stuff is still on my mind

I don't know if your question is whether Darkvoice makes a 110v model's or if the Figaro in particular comes in 110v.

I can't speak for the Figaro, but I have a 110v 336i that works great.

I recommend sending an email before you commit to ordering. Once shipped, errors are expensive to fix (not to mention time consuming).

Why did you stop production?

Thanks for the replies!

Definently not going for a Figaro... Probably going to read up on the 336SE's.

If you buy one, make sure you can get it in the version you want, not what the seller wants

I suppose it was uneconomical for DV to continue production. With their inability to solve the 110v problem, they had lost a massive part of their potential market - mainly the US. Sad, cause it was a great entry level tube amp.

I cant see why it would be a problem to make a 110 volt version. Just a simple dual primary winding power transformer so it can be wired either 220 or 110 volts. Simple enough, right?
