Hey guys, I've been reading posts about 336i for a while and decided to buy it.
It arrived last Friday (from ebay, seller jasmine).

It was very well packaged.
I'm using it with my DIY non oversampling DAC and it sounds so much better than my simple DIY opamp. The build quality of the amp is very good.

The only bad thing is that 6as7 tube died on me yesterday, but I went to local tube store and got Ratheon 6080 as a replacement. It gives a bit better bass that chineese one.

I'm using it with AKG 271s headphones (closed, perfect for office).
I'll also try BD 880 which my friend has.

Do you think I should try other tubes? I listen to mostly 70's rock. Occasionally classics. Which tubes would be best with AKG 271s? They are short on bass so maybe something that boosts bass a bit?

There are so many tubes out there for the Darkvoice...that's why it's such a popular amp, because of the sheer amount of tube combinations that can be had. Check out the Darkvoice Tuberolling thread for some tube recommendations and impressions.

Also, that's kind of funny that the stock tube died within a couple days
