I have tried many of the big name IEMs but they are just too bright, maybe it's my Fiio X3 Gen ii. Basically it ends up making vocals and guitars unbearable on my ears if I have to listen to even remotely loud volumes. Even if I turn down the 4k band it's still present. I only listen to a wide range of rock.

I currently got the Trinity PM4 and having this problem. Any other suggestions please let me know. Looking between $100-$200 mark. I previously had IE80 and RHA 10i which aren't so bad but can't remember now. Even the PM4 the sound if plugged in my galaxy s7 is horrific. My ears are buggered I guess.

Have you tried the ATH-IM70? They are fairly dark with little to no treble sparkle but also pretty detailed.

Primacy basic. I got them yesterday and they are not bright at all. Trebles are present, but not makes them bright. Very heavy sound for its price.
