ok so as my title so elegantly has it put, a friend of mine is looking for a new DAP that is A) invincible, B), beautiful, C) gets (nearly) infinite battery life, and D) can play audio at 200% of its normal speed. (this would be for audio books)

what would you suggest, head-fi?

oh, i didnt know the D2 could play an audio file at 2x speed, does it?

My iAudio 7 has -2 up to +10 play speed. I don't know exactly what +10 is but it's pretty darn fast!

I imagine the D2 is similar if not exactly the same.

50% to 150%, under the Jet Effect settings (100% being normal speed). So not twice speed.

I did a test with my i7 for play speed because I couldn't find any details in the .pdf downloaded manual from Cowon.

I found an audio track with a 1:20 play time and it took :40 to play at +10 speed....there ya go!

seems he's gonna go for the d2 since we found a seller nearby selling a 4gb d2 with an 8gb card for 100 CAD!

and now after looking into cowons i think i'll have to sell my soul and get an iaudio q5
